Amazon’s Kindle

Welcome friends and visitors! Let me start by saying that Amazon’s Kindle has taken by surprise. I have a relatively small collection of books, novels and magazines. And they do tend to take a lot of space in my living room, but I’ve always had pride in being able to watch and derive a sense of fulfillment at every glance of my dusty shelves.

From what I understand this new player wireless, storage can hold up to 1,500 books! And my favorite paper can be downloaded before it hits the newsstands.Oh but wait a minute, I used to enjoy the aroma of a newspaper recently opened. And what about all the wonderful dogs who used to feel so proud when he delivered the paper to their master? Newspaper and the boys doing a little ‘extra money early in the morning? What about all the public libraries, librarians dedicated to the janitors cleanup dust? I wonder if we realize what we are sacrificing in the name of convenience and technology.

I did not buy one of these lights, as of yet, but I definitely added to my wish list, despite the potential sacrifices that I expect in a not too distant future. Those of you who are interested in a little more detail to Kindle, I put a promotional video for YouTube that is very intriguing. Even if you decide to buy one from my page, http://wirelessreader.blogspot.com, thank you. I will save the commissions until they have enough money to buy one myself. And so in closing this post, I leave you with a quote new original. “We try to have respect for what we are losing, as we accept our newfound light of convenience”.
