ipod touch review
The iPod touch has great sound quality it also has a lot of apps. I would say it is the second best iPod in the world next to the iPod touch 4th generationApple iPod touch 32 GB (3rd Generation) OLD MODEL

Shipment
Wish I could rate the product, if Amazon would ever ship it. I ordered it August 30. It is now September 7 and still being "prepared" for shipment. Give me a break!

Kent from Dallas
I purchase for my son he like it alot.....easy to used.i would recommended this product.

Ipod touch
My daughter bought this with money she has been saving for one year. She is thrilled with it...so much that we now have to limit the amount of time she spends on it. The internet capability is great and very easy to use. The wide variety of apps have been fun, useful, and educational.
The only real negative: We have never had an Apple product, so converting all our music from Windows Media Player to the Apple format and loading it onto the ipod is slow and very frustrating. It is a much more difficult process than using the Zune.

Before you begin let me just say “What’s New” with the third-generation iPod touch “
-Faster CPU / RAM Double / graphics better (faster boot time / load faster is all I have pointed out)
-Double the storage for the same price old
Voice Control (I will explain in a second)
-Last version of firmware for free
New Earbuds with built-in remote + mic (to use the voice control)
And that is all ~ depends on your needs for upgrading from 2G to 3G may not be worth it.
* * Important Note: Only the new generation iPod touch are third 32GB/64GB ~ (8GB is repacked 2G) details below.
The new feature voice control, if you please take your iPod with you to the gym the new role of “voice control” is pretty cool, allowing you to control your music through your voice, no need to obtain the iPod from your pocket you can just say “Next” to move to the next song, say “shuffle” to shuffle, to say “Pause” and stop playing music, etc., that is why I recommend the iPod touch over iPod classic for users of the gym, my friend bought an iPod classic and now complains that the iPod classic is too heavy for him when he goes to the gym and you will have to buy another iPod Nano correct “because of his fitness for me, I use my iPod touch to the gym, is so light that sometimes I forget that it is still in his pocket.
After playing with my 3G iPod touch for a while ‘I honestly did not notice any difference from the outside or inside of generation, compared to my old iPod touch second (should be faster but I did not notice anything during playback music and video ol ‘menu, but navigation in Safari and facebook load was faster, same with the startup time), you correctly note that it can only be faster with the heavy duty video / music playback is enough fast with 2G.
I got the 64GB iPod 3G [...]$, if you plan to upgrade your iPod touch 2G honestly do yourself a favor and save money unless you really need that much of storage (which I do that’s why I bought one), also remember that the 3G battery lasts less than 2G (3G battery = 30 hours of music playback over 2G 36 hours of music playback according to specific official Apple)
* VERY IMPORTANT * for people who want the new 8 GB version, the new third generation iPod Touch 8GB is NOT 3G is a touch of second-generation iPod, but Apple has packed it / renamed 3rd generation, which seems be misleading by Apple and It’s not cool at all, and iPod Touch 2G + firmware updated and it is.
The iPod Touch 3rd generation 32GB/64GB versions, has an open mic + earphones with distance, while the 8GB not (it comes with standard earbuds), the 32GB/64GB have the new CPU + Graphic (According to Apple the new CPU is twice as fast, just like the iPhone 3GS), while the 8GB new use of the same old CPU / Chip from the old second-generation iPod touch.
Here is the description page on the Apple iPod touch 32/64GB versions: “” “Enjoy all the great features of the 8GB model with better performance, richer graphics and voice control” “”
The 3rd generation iPod touch is the same impressive second-generation iPod touch has been.
You can play your music / watching videos / games, also read your books turn on / etc “you can read a description of large Amazon what he is capable, if not yet known, it is better than what I should say, because it has pictures and everything.
The iPod touch had the best browser I’ve ever seen on a mobile device, I did not even need to bring my netbook with me more thanks to my iPod touch, if you hated navigate with the browser playing blades clash or slow (many cell phones) trust me on this, your browser iPod touch is not a toy or a gimmick, you can depend on a browser, it is super fast and smooth and after using it for a full year, as crashed on me only once!
Short list of advantages and disadvantages for the iPod touch
Pro
Slick-device, small and light
Great touch-screen
The BEST web-browser on a portable device
Amazing-video / music playback
-App Store (too many cool applications for free)
-Screen display is clear and bright
-No bugs and stuff boring a very reliable hardware
64GB Flash-based MP3 player
Cons:
-Not much more than an update 2G (people are disappointed because they did not get updates as camera / OLED / etc)
-Battery weaker, lasts only 30 hours for music playback than iPod touch 2G 36 hours of music playback
Expensive for the 64GB version
-Still no FM radio without the use of online applications
Bluetooth is still half-blocked

This review may be summerd in a short phrase: Are you seeing the killer device current personal entertainment. But I never, ever, do short reviews … So here’s the long story. Take a cup of coffee, as this review answers questions you never knew existed.
I must admit that there were some articles that caught and held my enthusiasm for as long as the iPod Touch. Two years ago, I bought the original Touch, last year I upgraded to 32 GB, and now I have the 64GB version. It was the upgrade worth it? And what are the things yet to be imroved? Because even if the Touch is close to perfection, there are still many little things that can be improved.
Hardware
Physically, the new (64GB) Touch is identical to its 2 brothers generation. E ‘shiny chrome plate is slightly curved, making it fit perfectly the palm of your hand. As before, the fact that is made from chrome, which ensures that attracts fingerprints and scratches almost magically. I am no friend of all types of protective covers, and my last (32GB) Touch had to live in my pocket with my keys, coins, and other things I threw in with it. After a year, the plate did take a lot of scratches, and I expect the 64GB to make anything better. Personally, I would have preferred a brushed finish on the backplate. This may have caused problems with the readability of custom engraving that Apple applies to the touch on the back plate at no additional cost (a nice touch”that becomes increasingly important as the Touch becomes more ubiquitous). This custom engraving can only be achieved if you order through the Touch of Apple (which is also not available in Apple Stores).
The front panel is made from one of the most impressive improvements of glass I have ever seen. After a year of heavy abuse before my old Touch glass not only has a scratch – not one. I do not know how Apple does it, but this is really impressive. Remember, do not use the protective caps or film. The screen is bright, bright, and can be easily read outside, which is a feat in itself. The Touch has an ambient light sensor, so you can dim the screen when the surroundings are darker.
This time, the temperature of the color screen is not changed (2G moved all the colors to a bluish tint to a more golden.) The reproduction of the movie is simply amazing. The image is sharp, and the screen of natural control. Again, there are subtleties such as the double tap the screen to change the aspect ratio, or placing bookmarks, etc. are still unable to set the contrast of a movie, but beyond that little problem, the reproduction of film perfect. Watching films on the touch works just great, but personally I think that the screen is too small to watch a full film. Last week, I tried watching an episode of TV while on a plane on his way to Hamburg (a flight of 75 minutes), but soon decided against it, opting instead to play a game of ‘Luxor’. Somehow I prefer a larger screen for video consumption, but I have no problem doing something interactive on it. Again, great video games on the Touch.
Buttons and interface layout has remained the same as last generation: the volume controls on the left side holds the upper ‘/ exit button’, Buttom’s dock connector and telephones, and the front contains the single Home button. There’s something here that can be improved: I would have preferred that the audio connector to be at the top (or both sides), because the current configuration excludes the use of many applications (such as News-and readers of eBooks) when you want to put it in an upright position – for example in the gym. Some applications use accelerometers can be used and the positioning of the touch on his head, though.
The earpiece is unchanged from the previous version. E ‘weak, metal, mono, it produces a horrible sound, has no volume to speak of – and yet it is one of the best additions to the touch (the original did not, January 2 done). Makes it easy casual game much more fun. I do not care about the poor sound quality, I just made love there.
Petitioner white headphones that Apple sells with the Touch may seem good, but I do not like. In my ears are too uncomfortable. Since I am not an audiophile, I can not comment on their sound quality different from that which is good enough for me. Anyway, I replaced them with my favorite non-Apple version. The snag is that Apple now offers 64 GB (and 32 GB), with the headphones that sport a built-in microphone and remote. And my headphones are not the same. While the remote is not much to write home about (the way it works is too complex), the microphone works well, and has just the fidelity right to choose the voice over background noise. So, for now, I keep the white buds with me where I want to use the functionality of IP telephony.
Battery life seems to have been somewhat reduced since Jan 2 – at least on paper. In recent days, the new 3rd gen Touch certainly performed as well as or even better than my 2 Jan – but again, the battery of a person is already a year old. A fact that I became very fond of is the rapid charge capacity, which works really well.
Built-in wireless connectivity is really nice, with the integration performed surprisingly well. The touch does everything is in the wireless network via WiFi and Bluetooth. WiFi works really well (especially here in Switzerland, where the Hotspots are particularly dense), and Bluetooth integration (which I tested January 3 for the first time) is impeccable. Receive WiFi (range) Gal a bit ‘behind that of a Wintel laptop (no doubt because of the back plate metal) and is almost on par with that of a 15-inch MacBook Pro (which is also a bit’ lacking in WiFi reception range). WiFi is still the ‘G’ variant if [Interestingly enough, the built-in hardware does not support 11n, but until now Apple has chosen not to activate it, presumably to save battery. This is interesting because (works well in mine). I would like to try BT-based printing the calendar or address book app, but hit a snag: it seems not Touch app supports printing …
Missing hardware
Is there any hardware that I expected, or was concerned that was included in Touch – especially since (some) of them are now found on other iPod models:
No camera. I was a little ‘ambivalent about this. No camera means no pictures and / or movies. But it also means that I can take rough handling, so you should not worry Abou the lens. Also, do not have to worry about taking it to the gym (my gym has some very strict rules against camera-equipped readers). All things being equal, the addition of a camera (still and / or video), it would have been nice, but I miss a lot (to say the truth, I still use the camera on my phone).
Unfortunately, there is also no built-in microphone. This omission is much more significant that no camera. The Touch is a first class audio and voice recorder (more importantly for me) of a first class client Skype. There are third party solutions for this (mini-micro that directly connects to the headphone jack), but if the contact has had a built-in microphone, it would be all over the world using the class applications such as Shazam (and Skype ) so much easier
Similarly, there is no compass, no GPS receiver gift of touch. I realize that these are left to better differentiate the Touch interface, but I would have welcomed them in the form top-of-the-line (64GB) iPod.
And finally, there is no radio receiver. I’m definitely not a radio man, near as I did not listen. Still, some people do (like a ton of sale clearly shows IP radio applications), and anyway, the Nano now – even with a characteristic pleasant break Tivoesque! Why not the Touch? Strange design choices.
iPod and iTunes
The strength of the original iPod was the ease of use Pure brilliant – and the touch-based interface was a milestone in improving on that. To date, there is simply no better multimedia interface different from that of the Touch / iPhone. Naturally, after a few seconds. It’s drop-dead beautiful, with shades of muted, and deftly accentuated by small (if noticeable) animations that convey the different metaphors of the interface (for example, rubber-banded bounce when you reach the end of a playlist). Like no interface before they can immediately use to perform even complex operations with a simple touch of a finger. Its use is pure, pure fun. The ‘navigation Coverflow’ album may be one of the least useful, but certainly the most natural (and fun) way to flip though the music. And it is jaw-droppingly well done (Note: When using coverflow you must make sure you have installed the art to cover any kind of music you have not purchased from iTunes Store).
Underlying all iPods play music and playlist and playlist with the Touch is a joy. Whileplaying the interface is too mature, which offers niceties like displaying lyrics of a song on a single touch, along with simple controls for singularily repeat and random play. Unfortunately, this feature also have a playlist more obvious shortcomings: the Touch can play your favorite bands. I usually group a handful of songs in the playlist very short (eg the best Springsteen ’10 ‘), and then mix these tracks into larger ones simply by dragging a playlist in a group. Even if that iTunes supports all versions of the Touch have stubbornly refused to do so

In anticipation of the eventual death of my Olympus M: Robe MP3 player, I bought the iPod Touch (3 Jan) yesterday. So far I have found things I like about this device and the things I like about this device.
What I like: a nice design, lightweight, relatively easy to configure and use, even if, like me, you’ve never owned an iPod before, energy efficiency, beautiful graphics, ability to block the access code
I dislike: I hope that I could multitask ie have a Safari window open and jet over to another application with the touch of a finger and go back to Safari without having to re-launch Safari. Voice control is not all it cracked up to be. One can not simply say a command into the microphone. You must push on the remote control headphones, or hold down the HOME button, wait for Voice Control for pop-up and then say the command. The headphone remote control is very useful, but I see no need for Voice Control if constantly need to push buttons to activate it anyway. Although I have only used my Ipod Touch in the house so far I have found it difficult to maintain a WiFi signal. I am running my iPod Touch next to my MacBook and my iPod Touch can not take the signal. Finally, Apple offers the choice of a set of great backgrounds, but you can not actually use the way they think you should be able to do so. Sure you can select the “Desktop” that you want, but it will not appear on your Home Screen. Instead it only appears on “Unlock” side, who meet every time you need to unlock the device
Overall I think this is a beautiful device and I probably Recommend this product to a friend … a few words of caution about the things mentioned above that I do not particularly like to touch upon
Can’t wait for the iPad now.
Good day Thank you for a riveting post. Bookmarked and drop by very soon. later
Hello, I also love the Toy Story movies, super movie!
