I should say that this device has really exceeded my expectations so far. The picture quality is very impressive and I had no trouble getting clear reception. The screen size is perfect to keep the mobile device, but still large enough to be easy on the eyes.

A couple of things that really jump out at me are the following:

-Instant Channel Change –
It ‘really like a normal TV. This is mine was more skeptical, because I have tried various mobile video products in the past and all have problems connecton of some kind. But TV FLO‘s buffering, skipping, or problems of synchronization between the video and audio. That alone is worth the price.

Built-in speakers –
You can actually hear this thing without having to crank it up to full volume. Very unusual for any mobile device that has built in speakers. Good sound quality as well.

Touch-screen –
The touch screen is really sensitive. You should not use two hands and push with all his strength just to make something happen.

-Battery life
It ‘so nice not to carry a charger everywhere. Obtain a value of 5 hours battery life than the standard 1 or 2 hours on other mobile devices will be great.

So far so good. Highly recommended.

I bought the product on Amazon in particular with the hope that the children can pass in the back on the road. If this product works in this way remains to be seen and probably will depend on the coverage as a unit around. Out of the box, the PTV-350 seems well made and easy to activate. It comes with headphones and a cloth for cleaning. There seems to be supported with a case or watch the screen just yet, but I suppose that will come. As the TV I have to admit that I expected a better quality video. Although I am in the burbs outside NYC I see my fair share of pixelation and artifacts. I was hoping for better. The video quality does not match the downloaded video of an iPhone from iTunes, but say it is on live TV and, sometimes, depending on the channel. In the settings tells me my signal quality is low, which is surprising. Channel audio is good and easily change. Maybe the video will be better and hopefully not worse. Overall, I promise. I hope that my next test in a few days will prove it can be used to go around in my area. Update: Drove around and this unit has a really good signal. I have also experienced better video once in a stronger signal-much improved. I’m giving four stars from now. It seems that this is a keeper.

After examining the website of the product before purchasing, make sure that my area of service, checked the features, etc. BUT: whadyaknow? On the program guide, there is a descent of ‘channels Filter by …’ I thought that would allow me to choose ‘family’ and ‘music’ and ‘news’, but NO! It filters the device, and if all your are doing is giving them $ 250 for their device, you have access to only a subset of their channels! They claim to provide 20 channels of vision, but if all you have is their device for $ 250, you get … NINE. That’s right: nine! The rest of their channels are reserved for people who watch on their phones, for example, people who did not give them $ 250 for their device.

Also of note: There is no manual with the device. To enroll you need a code, but nowhere are you told where to find the access code. (I called the India and the person who told me that there are three menus deep inside the device.) ZERO There are instructions for charging the device (using a USB -> system outlet) and these instructions are available on the website.

For more information: The book of the contract (approximately 40 pages) contains the notation that if you pay for a plan in advance and Flotv fails or less liquid, you lose your money, do not even ask.

Otherwise, it’s just fine.

UPDATE with the experience of a week: the content offerings are just bizarre. I tuned to 60 minutes of regular time on Sunday, but I … The week before’S SHOW! Thursday ‘their channel NBC, have shown Community, Parks & Rec, Blind Date, and 30 Rock. Read it carefully, instead of The Office, which replaces a half stupid reality now. They do not have plans and expectations with this product!

They have added more channels, including ESPN and Disney, and there are some good looking college live this weekend T’giving.

Again, unless changed much in the coming months, when the 6 months of free service expires, I will purchase the service. Maybe I bought a $ 250 paperweight.

  1. A great product. The second generation Kindle has a sleek design and is easy to use. Reading on the Kindle is like buying a new album for the one song you like; after about a week, it is one of your favorite CD’s. The Kindle is more than just an eReader. You can download lots of books for cheaper than the paper versions without connecting to a computer. There are also many books available for free via Amazon or other websites. What is more, the free access to the Internet is a major plus for checking websites on the go. This is why I bought the Kindle over other similar products. There are a few bugs that can be worked out and it can always be improved on, but this is the best one out there.

  2. Lots of good reading here, thanks! I was searching on google when I found your post, I’m going to add your feed to Google Reader, I look forward to more from you.

  3. Thanks for the replacement filter. I love my IQ Air Cleaner, it really helps my allergies.
