If, like me, you live in an area average TV-fringe, and you intend to use included (or other external) antenna, one of the first things to do when you receive this TV is nice to connect it to the best antenna available to make your auto-scan. Which is easy because it has a standard antenna connector, and necessary, because this will_not_tune any TV channel not previously found by the auto-scan. Manual tuning selects only one channel previously auto-scan. My position, the rabbit ear antenna attached is practically useless. But amplified antenna connected to my home, I easily gathered all the digital stations that normally receive more than another, and without problems for many large trees around my house. So the tuner is very sensitive and very susceptible to multipath interference. With the supplied external connected, I eventually managed to get all the stations received using the large antenna, which was a nice surprise, though it took some fiddling with the antenna (two inches can mean the difference). The image of digital television provided is very good, with a very nice color, resolution and contrast.

I did not expect great sound, since the speakers are small (about 1 inch in diameter on the front). Certainly not high fidelity, but it is less understandable. The sound of headphones is a bit ‘better.

Other surprises include no volume and power on / off switch on the credit card size remote (No big deal. Gotta be almost at hand to see details of pictures in each case). And the internal battery can be charged car adapter – It’s a load only when the TV is connected to AC power.

Follow-up 2/4/09: still like this TV, but I’m now on the second – the first has stopped responding to remote control after about two weeks, and was quickly replaced for free from Amazon. The second runs at least as the first. Further reflections: This TV is designed to be placed on a table as a frame, but if it is necessary to mount elsewhere, well, there is a threaded hole like a tripod socket on the bottom. Does not seem very strong, and seems to have just been printed in the plastic. The manual does not say anything about it. Also, the AC adapter does not generate some electrical noise (does the TV), so the AM radio reception can be affected, particularly if the radio is near.

I had a 5 “black and white in my kitchen, and knew, with the conversion to digital, I would need something else. I ordered this based on 2 reviews out there at the moment and are so happy with this TV. I live in Houston so there are nearly 40 available channels of digital and analog channels on this that I have not even on my standard cable! I initially had problems with some of the digital stations, I continued to move the TV around trying to pick up signal (my problem was that I want the TV to sit under my cabinet and I think that interfered with the antenna picking up clear signals). I was frustrated, and then remembered another antenna that comes with.’ve unplugged the internal connection connected this extra antenna and put it on my window sill and all channels came perfectly, without having to change anything. The cable stand-up antenna is long enough to put some distance from the TV which is very convenient because you can move around for the best reception. The picture is clear as a whistle and the sound is very good, not muffled or fuzzy at all. the big screen is another bonus, most of the HD digital channels are to a large full-screen mode to make it work well. This is not an effort to install and I am so glad I took the plunge and bought!

Update: I have not had to use this even in a power loss, but from time to time have removed and brought to the table to watch during dinner, when I wanted to see a show I was in the middle. The 1 1 / 2 hr. battery now works for barely 1 / 2 hr. and I have not used often. I really bought this to use in my kitchen, but also equally important to work during another storm, after a small black and white and took the battery and worked beautifully last time I need. With the new digital change, I had to find something else to have on hand and, apparently, this is not it. There is a new coming out in August that takes normal alkaline batteries, I would suggest to go for one that, if you want something to work in emergency situations. Continue to use this in my kitchen, but now will probably have to buy another just for emergencies since I live in an area subject to hurricanes. Very disappointed.

Update # 2: Finding a solution for low battery power. The new TV that has the option of battery is not properly assessed and apparently to get the battery, you must purchase an additional $ 70 pieces. After some research, I discovered that Duracell is a 100 watt power inverter drives go, this is an extra battery can be recharged from any power outlet and / or your car, as well, and will provide additional battery power not only for this TV, but for mobile phones, iPods or any other small electronics. I am really thrilled with my purchase of this Haier HLT71 by 7-inch ATSC 2009-ready portable LCD TV! I’ve never heard of this brand Haier, and I had heard many nightmare stories about some of the other brand name that poor pictures on these small screens, so I thought I’d give this Haier a try.
I ordered this TV directly from Amazon, and I came from a seller on Amazon, which goes by the name of ANTonline. The seller sent this perfect and fast to start, which is always a great advantage to me. When I opened the box, the set looked very elegant and light, perfect! The TV I received is exactly as the photo shows this description, black (which is the image of the remote close to the TV), with very simple control buttons on the front. Then I looked at the directions, but realized I did not need to read at all! All this is really obvious! The set has a small slide switch on the side to activate the power. Screws antenna easy. It comes with a plug for the internal power, and a plug for the car lighter, light and a rechargeable battery! Has a bit ‘remote control which made it very easy to read! After screwing the antenna (or you can connect the power cable if you use at home), I included at the bottom, slid the power switch, press to scan to define the channel and does hurry! In about 1 minute, was fixed! I then tried the small battery, and that played to perfection, with no electricity!
The picture is absolutely gorgeous, as is the new ATSC digital signal receiver built in! To see the local programs in digital on this little screen was fantastic! The colors are sharp, crisp and lively, just like a great HDTV!
I noticed that some judgments are giving this TV a low rating because it does not collect all the channels with rabbit ears that only comes with the set. This TV takes every signal that is transmitted in your area. Before buying this TV, you must first go to a website called Antenna Web. On this site, you type your address and show you exactly how the channels you can receive in your area and what kind of antenna you need to pick up the signals. Antenna web says that in my area I could get 8 signals, and one rabbit ear that comes with this tv picked up all 8 channels. When I used a stronger antenna, I got 3 more channels. When I used my cable TV, I received more than 60 channels, and when I used my cable with my cable box, I have 250 channels. Whatever I connected to the coaxial input on this TV, this TV picked up! If you live in an area that receives signals transmitted or need a high-powered antenna to pick up something, is not the fault of the TV, but your issuer. So if you want to make sure your TV is collecting signals correctly, go to Antenna Web and see which channels you can get in your area and what kind of antenna you need to pick up the signals. My rabbit ears only, picked up all channels including hi-def, and the reception was crystal clear. (Also, do not forget to go to the menu of the TV and hit the image of small satellite dish, then hit the appropriate air or cable before you scan for your channels. In this way you are sure the TV receives the correct signals.)
The real plus for me on this tv, is the battery, because of the many power outages and bad storms, this is a must have item! The battery lasts about 2-2 1 / 2 hours, perfect for a show some waiting out bad weather, or even for entertainment when traveling. The image really fantastic blown away. I really like the light weight of the TV, even with the battery, is like a feather! There is also a built in stand to put on a table! The sound is amazing how well two speakers and really loud! This is unheard of on these small ensembles! They also decided to put a plug in for headphones, if you have them (headphones not included) to listen in silence or to travel! Who designed this set perfect, they knew what they were doing!
I am giving this perfect little tv 5 stars to be able to see a strong, clear, beautifully colored hi-def pictures, and create without reading a direction, but mostly because I play in my house, my car, or take it anywhere with the rechargeable battery, all at a great price too!
UPDATE: Haier vs Axion 7 inch portable TV
I am posting an update for those who wonders what the differences between these two mobile TV. A friend of mine bought the Axion, and has been ported to compare it to my Haier. Here’s what I found:
RECEPTION: Antenna web says I could get 8 channels in my area. With only the rabbit ear antenna, Haier picked up all 8 channels. Axion picked up 7 channels, but a canal was very confused. When you plug a cable wire, both sets collected everything.
SOUND: For these small sets, the sounds were very similar, but when you turn the volume higher, the Haier was stronger and not as tinny as the axion.
PICTURE: Both have very nice pictures with great color, but Haier is certainly a more hi-def, looking sharper pictures.
REMOTE CONTROL: Haier is easier to read, and has the largest volume control, where Axion is smaller and has no volume control.
Battery: Haier is a plug-in and lasts about 2 hours before needing recharging. Axion Battery is built, can not be removed and lasted less than 1 hour before needing to be charged.
Overall, the sets are very similar, my personal choice is the Haier, I believe that the image is sharp, the price is better and the battery lasts longer for my needs in the event of bad weather. Haier also how the picture settings and adjustments in the menu of most television, but the images on both sets are so large, I never found the need to use them. The bottom line for me is the best picture and the price to the board of Haier, since the reception of these two series is almost identical.
June 12, 2009 NEWS UPDATE ON CHANGE DIGITAL
I just read an article about the new change in the digital document entitled CHANGE TO DIGITAL TV BROADCASTS AS GIA ‘bad reception. And literally mean bad reception. The article says the following: Many radio stations across the country are the transmission of digital signals with new transmission towers temporarily, only to meet the deadline of June 12. Permanent new towers are necessary in order to move to a new transmission in a higher frequency which should be easier for people to pick up antennas. Once the towers are being built new, probably later in 2009, the stations will turn into another channel, and everyone will have to re-scan their television to receive all the new digital channels. Unlike the old analog signal, you will never have snow or static on the set, it is to have a perfect picture or one that is absolutely unwatchable. Right now, with many broadcasters transmission towers, with temporary, you need a powerful antenna to receive anything on your September I thought this article very important to let everyone know that right now, you need a powerful antenna designed to receive, but by the end of the year, standing towers to be built and running full power, which means that each antenna should take everything. More importantly, remember to scan again for channels TV program after June 12, and later in the year, when all the towers are standing up. This will bring you all the stations that will be switching to a new channel with the new frequencies. I hope this helps everyone, so that gains the highest number of TV channels of them!
UPDATE: Missing or change channels AFTER DIGITAL
This is an update for those who have lost or channels that do not have the digital channels after the change took place June 12, 2009, if you re-acquired or not. I received this information to share with you all contact the FCC, CBS, Antenna Web and Elgato Systems Support. They were very helpful in explaining to me what is happening now, which is this: half of all TV stations Nations (which is half of 1760 stations) are running at full power, the other half of 1760 stations are not . Some stations are completely off the air temporarily, and are only available through cable and satellite. In most major markets, some channels are still lower frequencies that many smaller antennas NEVER pick up, except perhaps the highest powered amplified antenna. Digital TV was originally designed to be broadcast in UHF (digital loop antenna required), which channels are higher. VHF (rabbit ears), which are the lower analog channels (2-13) had to be gone, but it is not. The new digital TV channel is broadcast in 2 different ranges for both UHF and VHF. In other words, the channels are missing, many channels are frequencies we can not climb, and only half of our stations are running at full power! What a mess! Antenna Web is now showing the new RF (Radio Frequency), the channels in your area. Each station has 1 RF channel. If you see in your area, all the low RF channels 1-13 range, you need a really high-powered antenna for perhaps receive your channels.
First, go to your TV to re-scan. Remove the batteries. Connect it to the wall outlet. Find the dish on the menu and set the air (if you use the antenna) or cable (if the cable is connected) and scanning. You may have to do several times and even more re-scans are needed in the next year or two!
The FCC recommends that if you are getting nothing, or very few channels, to perform the following operations, before re-scan:
1.) Re-orient the antenna
2.) Integrates the antenna (not recommended by me, like electricity antenna these needs, which means that it will be useless when used with battery)
3.) Purchase new HD antenna that receives both VHF and UHF
When you buy an antenna for the HD set, try scanning again when you get home a couple of times to see what you get, if nothing works, go back and try another. (After re-scanning, be sure to try the TV with the battery to see what you can pick up for power outages.) Eventually one will work for your area and you will be fixed for the next power outage. With only 1 / 2 the stations at full power, who went missing many channels temporarily to cable and dish, and many run on low-frequency analog, it’s amazing our set of antennas are picking up something now! Shop until you get a good antenna for your area, and be patient, it will take years before everything is broadcast in high-frequency digital TV! I hope this helps everyone, as the antenna is all right right now!

I am so happy that Haier has finally made batteries no longer available for purchase here on Amazon! Just type in Haier battery and you will see many sellers have their advertising and the prices are very competitive, starting at $ 24.00 plus shipping. I received my haste, tested, and we got a little over 4 hours of television with 2 batteries, which will be wonderful when we need a laptop for switching power next! (Without power, I’ve recharged my car.) I ‘ve my tv for over a year, and is still as new, so you pay for an extra battery is definitely worth it!

My old man used a small portable TV for emergencies “expired” in February of 2009 – so I ordered one of these because they are created in the new digital broadcasts. The first one I received does not pick up any channels and had no sound. I thought it must be a damaged unit, so returned to Amazon for replacement and the second is working well. Collects most of my local channels with surprising clarity and some other fuzzy, but I live in the country, then I agree with that since it is really only for emergencies. I am amazed at the technology, seen as a sharp, color photos on the small screen. I read other reviews that the battery lasts about 2 hours, but hopefully that comes to us through a storm. Comes with AC power cord, detachable antenna, cable video input triple, auto plug-in, remote control (batteries included) and internal rechargeable battery. Note, the internal battery must be installed before you turn. It’s got one of those little plug-in such as cordless phones, so make sure it is connected. Overall, I highly recommend.

Great little TV. The next day I received was different from that image, it is rubberized black and had better controls. I comes with a removable battery pack, AC adapter and 12V and an antenna stick.

We use it to keep pace with college football while watching our daughters travel softball team.

All TV decoding. ATSC (over the air digital TV), NTSC (analog TV), cable TV and even the regular non-encrypted QAM cable TV (which was a huge advantage for me).

I tried a Radio Shack 7 “, which closely resembles the image of Amazon Haier above, but this TV is much better. Are these antennas with TV crap, get the silver sensor sold on Amazon and you’ll be amazed at the channels can pull with this TV.

Wow, what a great little TV! Do not use the included antenna, but using another single pole retractable antenna – with a long cable attached, I could, by moving the antenna away from your TV to tune in everything that my 27 “Sony digital can. In Actually, the more reference stations over to Sony.

Nothing in the advertising says that this TV produces high-definition display. Although not pick-up stations, HDTV, picture quality is limited by the LED screen television. But that image is really nice and strong – almost HD.

Also, I can not believe that the small lithium ion battery included light can be so powerful. It Way runs the batteries NmHd. And the lightweight AC adapter, car adapter and also the lightest in weight, are of better quality – such as television itself.

It seems very strange that since this is the best 7-inch digital TV I have ever seen who is also the lowest price. I got mine for $ 117.99 including S & H.

Although not watch TV, I bought this unit as a gift for my wife who does and who wanted a receiver in the kitchen. Since the limited space of this unit is ideal. Although the manual is deficient on-screen menus are mostly intuitive. Quality of picture and sound are good for a unit of this size. Before you buy, here’s what you need to know:

Unless there is a few kilometers of the transmitter, the Omni-directional telescopic antenna supplied is totally inadequate. I could not get anything wrong, except the reception of signals degraded NTSC off air. HD digital signals are broadcast on a different frequency band. I had to buy an antenna for best reception of HD, even then, the weak signals caused the otherwise excellent picture and sound to HD pixillate and distortion. To receive off-air HD, expect to pay another $ 40 to $ 75 for an antenna for receiving digital broadcasts HD.

Eventually I decided that my wife was unhappy with the limited choice of off-air transmissions, so I installed a signal splitter to feed the company’s cable television signal to you and others connected to the Haier HLT71 second exit from the splitter.

By connecting the rechargeable battery is laborious. Be careful entering the small white two pin and using a probe of wood or plastic to push the connector home. The battery is a snug fit. Connect the power supply to the wall outlet and insert the round connector on its left side. Slide the switch on the left side to “ON”, the remote has no effect until this switch is in position “ON”.

Once everything is connected, use the remote to display the menu screen. Use the arrow keys to select the satellite dish and then use the Down arrow key to select the antenna, select air or CATV, depending on where you are getting your signal. By air, you probably need to rescan from time to time, especially if you move the antenna around. I noticed that the found-channel counter rolled 256-1 crawling CATV, telling me that there is only an 8-bit counter for this function.

Finally, if you’re using cable, standard RG6 coaxial cable is stiff and awkward. I bought the GE brand ultra thin video cable from Home Depot, pt. No. AV23278, and used it to connect the drive to RG6 cable through a female-female splice. This is a much better solution and the cable easily hidden.

Overall, the Haier HLT71 seems to be a good television, as long as they are willing to spend more money and effort to get the best performance. E ‘offer stereo sound. It comes with a power supply for the machine, as well as an A / V cable with RCA connectors on each end to connect to your entertainment system that make it up, and you can select the source A / V from the remote. We hope that this review will provide a perspective different from others …

First, for those who had negative opinions based on a weak signal, and problems with settings and controls, if you have more time to tinker a bit ‘or read the manual, how did you write the review, he probably would thought out.

That said, here is my unique take. This TV is perfect for use with a treadmill. If you price a treadmill or elliptical machines built in LCD TVs you’re looking at $ 1200 – $ 1500 low end of the spectrum. But if you look for a quality treadmill with all the same bells and whistles unless the TV that the price is halved. Think about it. You are essentially paying $ 400 – $ 800 for a built-in 5-inch LCD TV with crappy speakers.

Instead, I bought this Haier to use for the same purpose. We have a nice treadmill located in our training room and we just simply mounted to a Haier TV camera tripod. I got one at Wal-Mart for $ 19. The tripod is tall enough to sit in front of the treadmill at eye level – just like a gym-quality units. Turn it on and start walking. The remote is useful to change channels or adjust the volume, as it is exercised.

I happened to have my close to the wall with cable outlet, so I just hooked it up to a standard coaxial cable, changed the menu entry CATV and did scan for channels. E ‘collected 99 channels in my area – including local networks, ESPN, HGTV, etc. in a recent rare occasion we had a drop of cable, I moved closer to the TV box, connect the antenna it came with, changed the Antenna menu, scan, and voila! 10 local channels, including local high definition broadcasts.

If you like the idea of using this little wonder for the exercise, do not hesitate. Buy it.

For those who complained of a weak signal right out of the box, consider your position. Unless you live in Florida, I bet you live in an area with walking or changing elevations. When you use an antenna or rabbit ears, TV signals are delivered line-of-sight, it is not bounced around from a satellite. So, if there is a hill, construction, forestry or other obstructions between you and the nearest broadcast station, well, I think you get the point. So before bashing this TV just excellent, do some research.

For those who complained of losing memory and battery … made the instruction manual tell you to remove the green plastic around the batteries? No. This is anti-static, anti-corrosion paper needed to marry the two halves of the packs of lithium. Also check the plug white again. If not inserted correctly, the battery is fully charged when plugged into DC and you will have to reprogram the channels every time you turn. Again, just use a little common sense before giving this TV a 1-star review.

Last but not least, this TV has most of the menu and configuration characteristics as a large screen LCD or Plasma TV modern. But at the end of the day is still a standard definition set. Even if you receive an HD channel will still only be able to see it in standard definition. And why the TV does a marvelous job. The color saturation is great, and blacks are blacks. If you want HD quality you really think you get it for $ 100?

I wanted to replace my old laptop with a TV camera. I tried one from Best Buy about a year ago and came back a few days later. I took a chance on this TV and was surprised to find even had a USB port and SD slot capable of playing MP3 files, photos and movies including DivX and XviD. TV wise gathered everything in my area and also has an electronic program guide. The image is beautiful for the stations of SD, HD stations are ok considering this is not an HDTV. The sound is good enough for the speakers included. Not very low, but you can not really expect small speakers to expand. You can connect headphones if you want a better sound. The buttons on the unit are simple and easy to use. There is also a remote control you can use if you want to control the TV remote. Like the TV that does a good job. As a media player I was surprised how it is versatile. E ‘played everything I threw at it and the video looks great. I am very happy with this purchase. Pros: Good picture and sound. Plays DTV and other media. Unit allows for software updates so the company can constantly improve the functionality. Cable is quite long and has a magnetic medium. When there’s nothing on TV you can always look at other means of communication via USB or SD card. Now here we are against. Battery life is approximately 1 ½ hours and there is no way to know is how much charge the battery. The USB port is a mini that requires an adapter (included) to connect a USB key drive. While the unit comes with a kick stand, there is no way to mount it on a tripod or base. The unit comes only with an AC adapter so if you want to load in the car you need to buy a DC adapter. Overall, there is a bit ‘of good TV / Media Player for about $ 100

Viore PLC7V95 7-Inch Portable LCD TV with built-in tuner Purchased this unit to use around the house and for emergency situations. The screen is very clear and the picture is pretty impressive for a 7 “TV. You can also watch movies from an SD card or USB port makes this unit very functional. I was able to find about 12 channels with the external antenna and I was very surprised at how well this piece worked. It’s not going to replace a much bigger TV, but if you want something that is portable and watch while we cook, grill, etc. This is a great unit. I have two labs and I can be out with them while they play and even watch TV. The price is even better than the other unit on Amazon. I was so impressed that I intend to buy one for my dad for father’s day. Thanks amazon!

The TV Viore PLC7V95 has exceeded all my expectations. Read all reviews of this TV, as well as those for other portable television sets as the Axion, Haier, New Digital Image, Supersonic, etc. None of these units had a 4 ½ or 5 stars. As a small portable digital TV, Viore quality is surprisingly high, with excellent performance for a price so low. Similar units that I found elsewhere were in a much higher price of $ 150 to $ 350.

I have a policy of not buying any electronic unless I am able to discuss with the manufacturer’s technical support staff. This TV is now on the site Viore and its technical support was very responsive and easy to contact. None of the other suppliers, as Axion, Haier, New Digital Image, etc. to respond to my e-mail or phone calls. The only exception was Tivax that was sensitive.

Pro
* Resolution of the LCD screen is very high for a 7 “portable TV. The Viore (1,440 x 234) resolution has a pixel density which is 3 times higher Axion, the Tivax’s & Haier’s (480 x 234). Even if HD , its resolution is exceptional.
* Horizontal Viewing Angle is large. . easy to see when out on both sides.
* Receiving station. This has been a constant problem for many users. I played with the antenna and its position and found that it is more than enough. Proper use is necessary to extend the cable along its entire length as it is part of the absorption capacity and to locate where there is less interference. When not properly position, I could not get any stations. When positioned at full wire along and near a window, I receive 10 digital stations, which is twice what I supposted to get votes based on the signal strength. When connected to my cable TV, I was able to receive all digital stations.
Note: Digital television is a weaker signal than analog. The digital mobile TV standards are determined. Within the next two years we should have available portable televisions that are truly mobile.
* Full operation of controls similar to my Samsung HDTV. . screen and sound adjustments, etc. wheather using the remote control or control unit.
* Has an excellent electronic program guide, which provides practical programming from the station.
* Both the USB and 3 in 1 card reader work as expected for images, video and audio. Just need to have your file in the correct file format.
* Although they are small stereo speakers, the sound can be adjusted to avoid metallic sound. I just minimize base and maximize the highs. The sound is very good with the earphones.
* Battery life. The specifications say it is about a 90 minute charge for portable use. I got about 100 minutes. My main use is as a desktop unit using the AC adapter.
* Charging the battery is relatively fast, with a red light while charging and turns green when fully charged.

Cons:
* Car adapter is not supplied, however, I had an analog TV from a laptop and it worked well. You can buy one for about $ 10 from RadioShack.
* The remote control is acceptable, however, has a relatively narrow angle of view. I use it as my primary control because it is easy to use and fully functional. Once you realize and limitations, it works well.
* The kick stand can not be adjusted for verticle viewing angle. I solved the problem by buying a small attractive display stand for about $ 4 at local level. Now I can adjust the angle of vision as I want. The small display stand can be purchased from Amazon.com. This is a holding Gibson “1 PL” with a base of clear plastic and a backing of white plastic coated wire.

I bought this unit and I wanted to share a few observations with those of you trying to decide what to buy.

- The picture quality was really good

- I like the USB and SD card reader function (this is really nice and I have not seen this option, the other 7 “unit on Amazon)

- Remote control is nice not high end, but it works well

- Sound was pretty good. I do not really expect much, but I was impressed

- You must remove the protective plastic film from this unit. I noticed a couple of other customers complaining about scratched screens and I thought I might have the same problem, but when I took a good look at the tv I noticed the plastic cover for protection and once I removed everything that was good to go. Probably had to put a little card that said pull or something like that here.

- I was able to get different channels so I thought the reception was pretty good

I gave it 5 stars. Good TV and it seems that little will do what I need to do. Oh yeah, make sure you go to the menu and scan channels. You must do this in order to find channels using the antenna. I hate reading manuals, but I had no choice, when I put this bad boy up.

I just got my TV Viore and was immediately impressed with the quality. Nice picture, good color gamut, excellent audio (with headphones), has played everything I threw at it.
One oddity I found was that if you set the date and time, then turn the TV off using the slide switch … again your … default clock back to 1999. Memory battery? What happens? Oh, well, I need not in every case.
Even I did not expect a product so heavy and bulky. I do not mean that in a bad way … good quality … just dont expect a TV small plastic brittle. This TV is well done. You pay in less than 30 minutes.
A real bargain at $ 99 USD.
Another thing. I bought this through Amazon. I have a large. I had sent standard. It ‘was at my door two days later … Shipping really fast. Thanks Amazon!

I had initially purchased the Audiovox FPE709, another 7 “portable ATSC TV. I went and bought this unit since it has an SD slot and USB connector. Battery life is poor, at least for playback of movies – have not timed while watching TV. As others have said, you lose track of the channels when you use it from different places, need to rescan when you switch unless you use it from the same place all the time (ie keep it on the desk or on the nightstand.) Picture quality is a bit ‘better on this drive (mainly because of the higher horizontal resolution), but the sound is much better than the Audiovox. The Audiovox has a style, which offers improved TV reception (even came with the little magnetic antenna as this unit, I have not tried). Plays Xvid videos encoded with mp3 audio from a 16GB SDHC card. No way to pause, rewind or fast forward. will not work with AC3 audio encoded. General construction quality and appearance is good. If you want the ability to play MP3s and video, but this unit. If not, buy the Audiovox or any of its clones (like Axion).

I bought this TV so I would have something to watch while I’m at deer camp in northern Michigan. I have 30 acres in the middle of nowhere. I do not have electricity so I had to buy a car charger with an “M” adapter. I even put an antenna on the roof and ran a coaxial cable in my motorhome. To my surprise I got 7 channels. Ok 3 were duplicates so I actually only get 4 channels. I could not be happier. The picture is impressive and the sound is quite good.

I bought this TV Portable Viore so I can get some ‘football matches on Sunday at the workplace. As others have said, there is a plastic film that covers the entire face of television, when you take out of the box. It ‘was quite difficult to find the limit and the skin on, but once I made the front of the TV was perfect. If you take a little ‘to find it, do not worry, it’s there. Sure to go to the edges of the case, not just the screen. I was not sure how good the reception would be, but let me tell you – it was incredible! The image of the HD stations looked good as does my 40 “Samsung LCD flat screen that is mounted on the wall of my living room. This is even more impressive considering that this guy is not a little ‘HDTV to my knowledge. L’ AutoScan is easy to use (the end of the menu page – scroll all the way to the right), and picked up about 20 channels in my area, depending on the orientation of the antenna. Based on my experience, you receive the best signal external antenna when the cable is stretched to the hilt. In other words, get the antenna as far away from TV as possible, as indicated in previous reviews. I also found that elevating the antenna helped a bit. ‘I think it’s because there are fewer objects to the signal, as you get higher up, in general. If you can not get a station that you want, try moving the antenna a bit ‘and AutoScan again. may take a few attempts. If you live in the city, you should not need anything other than the external antenna provided. Do not try the battery life but is not a concern for my purposes.’s stand on the back works well for football viewing angle, in my opinion. I have not tried the USB or SD card reader, either. The transition to digital is the best thing to happen to television in HD. No more snowy, fuzzy images. It’s or crystalline, or nothing. Anyway at this price, you can not beat this TV. You will not be disappointed if you buy one.

This “portable” TV works fine when connected to an antenna better than the one that comes with. I hooked up to a Silver Sensor indoor antenna and was able to pick up more channels in the area of Los Angeles.

The TV has a real program guide ad shows. Control aspect ratio is quite good even if you work on a global rather than on a per channel basis (unlike the Zenith converter boxes). The picture quality is excellent for such a small TV set, just do not expect the resolution of an HDTV bigger.

My main complaint with this TV is the channel up and down control is practically useless. Instead of displaying the channel in sequential order, as in all my other TVs and converters, jumping around all over the place. For example, in Los Angeles we have channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 and many others. If I am currently on channel 11 and channel print goes up to channel 7.2 instead of 13. If I channel again, you go to 7.1 channels, press again and goes to 7.3. Descending from Channel 11 gives me a 44.3 instead of Channel 9. Try again to scan to see if this has solved the problem without luck.

First the good stuff … I bought this Viore PLC7V95 TV 7 inches to pass the time when you lose power in South Florida. Like all digital TVs the picture is really very good. It is not HD, of course, but you will receive HD stations and display the image on the screen wide. One thing that really impressed me is the television can make almost any adjustment my Samsung HD TV can do. It also has an indicator of signal strength which is very useful with the little antenna that came with the unit. The remote control is in full operation. Why is there even a remote control at all is a good question because many people watch TV by sitting on his legs and one can easily make changes using the buttons on the TV. It did not come with a cigarette lighter adapter so it can be run off a car battery, but I found one for sale at Radio Shack that cost only $ 9. I can also connect it to my PC UPS system using the transformer supplied.

Now the bad … This particular unit seems to have a problem with the SD card and USB inputs. The USB input is not working at all and did not play any movies on an SD card (which display JPG files). I hope the support Viore solve these problems soon, otherwise I will be forced to return to Amazon. One thing that the TV does not do is to automatically adjust the aspect ratio to match the TV signal. A button is provided for that purpose. Another thing that is missing that competitors have apparently different is the means to connect to a standard tripod. With regard to the sound is stereo, but the speakers are about the size of quarters so do not expect to be hit unless you connect a good pair of earphones. Finally, the instruction manual is a joke. Fortunately, most controls are so intuitive a manual is not really necessary.
